Passionately Pets, a growing In-Home Pet Sitting and Dog Walking company, is seeking an Assistant Manager with experience in the pet care services industry. As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for directing the day-to-day operations in partnership with the General Manager. Responsibilities: - Manage employee relations, ensuring accountability, quality, and safety within pet sitting, dog walking, and office departments. - Coordinate hiring needs for various departments. - Train and develop team members, provide constructive feedback, and conduct Performance Reviews. - Enforce all policies, standards, and procedures to deliver an exceptional client experience. - Handle potential client communications and scheduling of consultations, including conducting some consultations. - Maintain Client Profile and Schedule integrity. - Create and manage staff schedules to ensure all assignments are covered. - Cover midday Dog Walking and Vacation Pet Sitting assignments when necessary. - Follow the responsibilities outlined in the Job Descriptions for Midday Dog Walker & Vacation Pet Sitter. - Assist in managing key control protocol. - Capture content for social media use. - Provide top-notch customer service, managing customer complaints professionally and promptly. - Support the development of efficiency-enhancing policies, forms, and tools. - Represent the brand at networking events and community pet events. - Keep General Manager and Owner informed at all times. Qualifications: - Flexibility to accommodate a changing schedule. - Available for on-call shifts 1/3 of all days, nights, weekends, and holidays. - Reside in NOVA within the service area, preferably within 5 miles of 22301 (Del Ray). - Intelligent, self-starter with the ability to work independently. - Reliable, punctual, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Background in customer service. - Proficient in maintaining organization in a busy environment. - Insured vehicle in good working order. - Ability to multitask and strong organizational skills. - Equipped with the necessary space and computer equipment for a home office. - Maintains a respectable appearance. - Proven management experience, preferably in the pet care services industry. - Comfortable with pets of all types, sizes, breeds, and personalities. - Knowledge or interest in gaining knowledge in pet training, behavior, care, and nutrition. - Willing to undergo a thorough criminal background check. Commitment: - 15-20 flexible hours per week. - On Call Manager shifts covering ~1/3 of days, nights, weekends, and holidays. - Weekend On Call hours required 2x/month. - Minimum commitment of 2 years, with a preference for longer commitments.
