Job Description

Analyze historical claims data to estimate insurance reserves for incurred but not reported (IBNR) and case reserves.
Develop and maintain reserving models using statistical and actuarial techniques.
Prepare loss development triangles and perform trend analysis.
Assist in quarterly and annual reserving reviews and reporting alongwith the preparation of reserving exhibits for reserve committees and regulatory filing
Coding in Databricks to encode claims datasets per their defined class codes for further analysis and reconciliation against multiple internal sources for credibility & data assurance.
Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and finance teams to gather data and validate assumptions.
Maintain current expense (Adjustment & Other expense) processes, while improving them to goal state level.
Create and enhance templates that estimate and track key actuarial diagnostic metrics like AvE, PYD, Settlement rates etc.
Develop and maintain reserve models in tools like ResQ, Arius etc. Identify opportunities for seamless integration with downstream processes
Assist in the development and enhancement of other actuarial tools, models, and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members as needed.
