Assistant Manager- Operations, Service Delivery Centre

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of shipping process associates to deliver accurate and timely services.
• Act as a point of escalation for operational issues, providing quick resolutions in line with business requirements.
• Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, compliance guidelines, and customer requirements.
• Track and analyze team performance against defined KPIs (accuracy, productivity, timeliness)
• Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and coaching sessions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Trade, Commercial, Finance and Operations
• Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
• Maintain accurate MIS reports and provide updates to management on performance, challenges, and risks.
• Support transition and knowledge transfer activities for new processes

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of shipping operations (DG, VSA, Schedules, Port cost, Terminal operations, Rebates, CAR approvals, etc.).
• Good understanding of global shipping regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proven people management and leadership skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
• Graduate in Shipping, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in shipping Service centre/BPO/liner operations, with at least 3 years in a team lead/supervisory role.
• Experience in managing international clients and stakeholders is required.
• Agile/Lean/Six Sigma exposure will be an added benefit
