Assistant Manager- IT Systems Administrator (Linux, Windows)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Linux & Windows Server Administration:

• Administer Linux (CentOS/Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments.
• Perform system updates, security hardening, and performance tuning.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies.
• Monitor system logs, disk usage, and resource utilization.

2. General IT Infrastructure Support:

• Provide **L2/L3 support** for application and server-related issues.
• Collaborate with ERP vendor for performance optimisation.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and company policies.
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.

JBoss WildFly Administration: (OPTIONAL)

• Install, configure, and maintain **JBoss WildFly** application servers in test, and production environments.
• Deploy and manage Java-based applications on WildFly.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and apply patches/updates.
• Configure clustering, load balancing, and high availability (HA) setups.
• Manage security settings, SSL certificates, and access controls.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator
• Hands-on experience with Linux (command line, SSH, cron jobs) and Windows Server.
• Familiarity with Apache/Nginx, Tomcat, and networking concepts.
• Understanding security best practices (firewalls, SSL, authentication).
• Experience with **monitoring tools (EGMonitor)** is a plus.
• Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V,) and cloud platforms (Azure) is beneficial.

Preferred Certifications (Optional):

• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator
• JBoss Certified Application Administrator (JCAA)

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
