Assistant Manager- Legal (Contracts)

Position Summary Legal Contractor position will be part of MAXIS Legal Team and will provide the legal support for a specific pool project. Candidate should possess knowledge of Commercial Contracts, Data Protection and Reinsurance Law. Will partner with various stakeholders to seek guidance and ensure timely deliverables. Negotiating contracts and incorporating provisions in accordance with the specific instructions received (and in compliance with English law) Job Responsibilities Responsible for reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and advising on Pool Agreements and Termination agreements. Reviewing the wording of existing Pool Agreements to ensure that none of terms of Agreement contradict the new template wording. If there are contradictions, amend the wording accordingly. Liaising with clients to share the Amended Pool Agreements this will involve emails/calls with clients to explain the rationale, negotiations with clients and liaising with various stakeholders as required. Preparing the execution version of Agreements and initiating electronic signatures. Ability to work on assignments that are complex in nature, applying legal knowledge, resolving problems, making recommendations, and preparing deliverables. Maintain and update various Repositories. Attend calls with Stakeholders, collaborate with multiple stakeholders and take notes. Perform Ad-hoc tasks. Education, Technical Skills & Other Critical Requirement Education Bachelors Degree in Law (LL.B/JD) Experience (In Years) 5+ years of experience in contract laws Technical Skills Excellent legal drafting skills. Highly motivated and proactive team player. Commercial awareness. Broad Knowledge of commercial contracts. Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. MS Office.
