Job Description

You will be responsible for managing the Compliance Legal Services Team in Pune and Bangalore, overseeing approximately 50 resources (UM & Agents) and reporting to the AVP with a virtual oversight over the other Centre. Your role involves independently leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the mentioned Line of Business. This includes process management, people management, client and internal stakeholder relationship management, audits, and compliance. It is essential to have knowledge of the US Financial Market and their associated Regulator Bodies. As a proactive individual, you will need to understand processes, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement mitigation plans for any issues that may arise. Your contribution to the continuous improvement of reporting processes and developing relationships with the business will be crucial in adding maximum value to your span of work. Additionally, you will manage ad hoc project work for clients, serve as the point of contact for the mentioned Line of Businesses for clients and internal stakeholders, and oversee a team with diversity in terms of locations, languages, and cultures. The qualities required for this role include being self-driven, results-oriented, and having a positive outlook with a clear focus on high quality and business profit. You should be a forward planner who critically assesses your own performance, mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with senior executives, reliable, tolerant, and determined. An empathic communicator who can see things from others" perspectives, present yourself in a businesslike manner, possess mobility and flexibility, and be keen for new experiences, responsibilities, and accountability. Furthermore, you should be able to work well with others, be a team player, and provide leadership and guidance in building the team. The necessary skills for this position include hands-on experience in operations related to the US Brokerage industry and Capital Market concepts, experience in the compliance department of a financial brokerage firm, exposure to AML and KYC, excellent people management skills, issue resolution abilities, and leading by example. You should also have excellent client-facing capabilities for managing escalations and relationships, strong communication skills in written and verbal English, networking capabilities, analytical and forward-thinking mindset, experience in resource management, flexibility in travel and working between locations for business needs, and prior experience in running process improvement, Six Sigma projects, and adding business value for clients. The selection process will involve an initial screening by HR, followed by a personal interview with panelists, and a final round with the PDH.,
