Job Title: Assistant Manager HR Onboarding & Background Verification

Location: KolkataShift: US Shift (Night Shift)Work Mode: Work From Office

We are hiring an Assistant Manager who will own end-to-end onboarding and screening processes for contractors and employees—including background checks, documentation management, compliance reviews, and day-one readiness. The role is highly process-driven and requires strong knowledge of Workday workflows and HR systems.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end onboarding for employee/contractor workforce
Lead a small team of onboarding analysts and senior analysts Initiate, track, and close background checks via approved vendors Validate BGC results and prepare screening summaries Collect, verify, and maintain employee/contractor documentation Update onboarding status inside Workday & ATS systems Send onboarding packs and compliance documents to stakeholders Coordinate with HR, Payroll, IT & Compliance for day-one readiness Handle employee/vendor queries regarding screening status Generate weekly/monthly MIS reports, trackers and audit documents Support offboarding activities including asset and account closures

Mandatory Skills

Strong experience in Workday (Hire/Pre-hire/Onboarding workflows mandatory)

Preferred Skills

Experience with background verification vendors such as:
Sterling, HireRight, First Advantage, Scout Logic, PROMESA, etc. Experience with ServiceNow or case management tools Advanced Excel (reports, trackers, MIS dashboards) Prior exposure to HR Shared Services
