About NSRCEL

The NS Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL) is IIM Bangalorestartup hub and incubation centre. The centre is structured as a section-8 not-for-profit entity. Our mission is to support ventures in the start-up ecosystem that demonstrate potential to create significant economic and societal impact. This financial year alone NSRCEL has engaged with 1106 ventures through 13 unique program tracks across 82 towns in the country.

NSRCEL is supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY). NSRCEL has partners with corporates like Alstom, Capgemini, Goldman Sachs, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Maruti Suzuki, Pernod Ricard India Foundation and SBI Foundation, among others to support idea stage and early-revenue stage entrepreneurs and startups in focussed themes of climate-tech, women entrepreneurship, and social impact.

About Ecosystem Capacity Building

While there are over 1100 incubators in the country, 90% of (incubated) startups still seek support from the top 20% of incubators (you can read more about this on the India Incubator Kaleidoscope Report , 2024).

Over the next 5 years, the Ecosystem Capacity Building Vertical at NSRCEL aims to work with 40 incubators across the country: we will design and deliver strategy & design services, program team trainings, and access to NSRCEL trademarked products & methodologies based on the institutionsspecific needs and context.

About this role

We expect each consultant to work with 1-2 client incubators at any given time. Consultants will assist in stakeholder management, planning, and execution of programs from initiation to completion. This includes but is not limited to:

Identifying key challenges in partner incubation centres and help facilitate solutions through interventions.
Monitoring program budgets, deliverables, and overall execution for assigned incubation centres.
Tracking the progress of incubation centres, identify issues, and support in implementing corrective actions.
Organize and facilitate workshops or coordinate expert-led sessions through faculty, industry experts, or internal teams.
Act as a liaison between NSRCELinternal functions and incubation centres, ensuring smooth collaboration and knowledge sharing.

In addition to their core role, consultants will be expected to support with:

Delivery of group trainings, bootcamps, as and when necessary

Design and management of knowledge resources like incubation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), frameworks for incubation excellence, etc

Organisation-wide events and cross-team collaborations

Content creation, webinar and events management, and other marketing and ecosystem engagement initiatives

Requirements

A Bachelors degree or Master Degree (MBA, MSc or similar qualifications) with 2-5 years of experience in incubation, startup ecosystem management, consulting, or program management.

Strong project management skills with experience in stakeholder engagement and program execution.

Strong communication, facilitation, and networking skills.

Experience in tracking budgets, deliverables, and performance metrics.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive problem-solving approach.

Familiarity with business development, partnership management, and ecosystem collaborations.

Good to Have:

Familiarity with startup ecosystems and incubation models.
