Assistant Manager Direct Tax

Position description:

This position is responsible for execution ofmonthly direct tax compliances (including international taxation) andassistance / support in direct taxation related activities.

Primary responsibilities:

• Review of withholding tax implications on payments made to non-resident
• Assistance in preparation and deposit of quarterly Advance tax and other tax related challans
• Assistance in preparation of Tax Audit schedules, transfer pricing related data as per guidance shared
• Assistance in preparation and filing of annual Income Tax returns including various tax filings.
• Assistance in preparation of submissions including tax replies in relation to income tax assessment, CIT(A), as per guidance shared, from respective stakeholder.
• Assistance in preparation of tax related data required by Statutory Auditor & Internal Auditor.
• Monthly MIS of Statutory Compliances with respect to direct tax matters
• Assistance in tax planning and restructuring exercises undertaken by the group and coming up with innovative Tax solutions.
• Review of books of accounts for accuracy of TDS deduction on business transactions.
• Review and preparation of data for monthly TDS compliances and submit TDS Return on quarterly basis

Educational qualifications preferred.

• Educational qualification:B. Com (Hons.) & Chartered Accountant with 5-6 years of hardcore direct tax experience

Required Competencies:

• Good knowledge and understanding of Accounting inS4HANA / SAP ECC and Direct tax (including international Tax and compliances)
• Planning, Coordinating and Prioritizing skills
• Analytical , technical & interpretationalskills
• Interpersonalcross-functional team coordination skill
• Shouldhave experience in appearance and representation before Income Tax authorities.
• Workingknowledge of indirect taxation ispreferred

Required Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of SAPmodule, MS Office (Excel, Word doc).
