Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager Procurement

Role Objective:

Procurement (Domestic & Import):

Source, evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, delivery and service.

Manage end-to-end procurement cycle for raw materials, packaging and other goods/services.

Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers.

Prepare QCS (Quotation Comparison sheet).

Raise purchase orders and ensure timely follow-up for deliveries.

Vendor Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

Regularly evaluating supplier performance and identifying areas for improvement.

Develop alternate sources to mitigate supply risks.

Mange quality complaints and ensure minimum complaints.

Planning:

Raw material planning based on production schedules, sales forecasts and inventory levels in coordination with production and stores teams.

Developing contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain.

Monitor stock levels and initiate timely purchase actions to avoid shortages or overstocking.

Smooth planning of raw material with supplier and plant personnel.

Documentation:

Coordinate with banks and suppliers for LC issuance & document submission.

Ensure compliance with LC terms to avoid discrepancies and delays

Draft and execute High Seas Sales Agreements

Ensure timely endorsement of shipping documents and adherence to customs regulations

Ensure proper documentation for vendor registration

Market Intelligence & Reporting:

Continuously monitor and analyze raw material markets, including price fluctuations, supply availability and emerging trends.

Identify potential threats and opportunities related to raw material procurement based on market intelligence.

Generate reports and analyse data related to procurement activities to support decision-making.

Highlight key performance indicators (KPIs): Present data on procurement costs, lead times, and inventory levels to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
