Assistant Manager - Customs and EOU Compliance

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*:

• Responsible for maintaining all required Documentation as per requirement of GST, Excise, Customs, Foreign Trade Policy, EOU rules and procedures
• Execute the necessary Tax Invoice and related documentation for dispatch of Finished goods out of Plant – domestic and export.
• Execute the necessary tax-related documentation for any other material – direct or indirect and maintain such records for the same
• Submission of periodical reports to appropriate statutory authorities.
• Liaisoning regularly with the respective statutory authorities as and when required.
• To obtain approvals as and when required for any material movement out of the EOU & DTA.
• To ensure all records and documents are updated and preserved on a timely basis and is available for any Audit or inspection by the competent authority.
• Manage and Co-ordinate with the Customs House Agent for both imports as well as exports
• Manage and co-ordinate on the Scrap disposal from Plant & CC/PDC as per process.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

Any full-time Degree from a reputed institution.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

REQUIRED:

• 7 – 9 years in the manufacturing industry
• Exposure to GST, Excise, Customs, Foreign Trade Policy, EOU rules and procedures
• Exposure in liaisoning with GST, Excise, Customs, MEPZ-EOU, JDGFT authorities
• Exposure in handling Customs House Agents
• Good knowledge of MS Office – Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc.
• Good Communication skills
• Exposure to ERP systems / handling all Online processes in Customs/GST/DGFT etc.

PREFERRED:

• Exposure to Audits by statutory authorities
• Exposure in EOU manufacturing environment, preferably automotive sector.
• Exposure in using SAP or other ERP systems
