Job Description

The Assistant Manager Customer Analytics has a significant role in using insight from customers and colleagues worldwide to improve financial services for families, small businesses, multinational corporations, and non-profit organizations.
 
Role Responsibilities
  • This role will focus on driving and supporting analytics initiatives at the Customer Engagement Management (CEM) function within Western Union.
  • You will work with CRM and loyalty teams to build data and analytics products to support customer growth and retention strategies.
  • You will identify, analyze and develop strategies that support direct marketing programs, design and implement methods to gauge program effectiveness and also be responsible for setting up and executing valid measurement plans based on Design of Experiment methodologies.
  • You will be partnering with resources from various internal Data teams and PL business owners to align on insights, recommendations, and steps forward.
  • The role requires innovative systematic thinking, creative problem solving, and strong rational skills. Majority of your time will be spent framing solutions to critical problems, querying databases, working on exploratory diagnostic data analysis for root cause identification and resolution.
  • Your analysis will result in prescriptive and actionable recommendations for the business.
  • You will also be responsible for people management of business analysts in the CEM team. This will include task prioritization and resource assignment to ensure all analytics projects are completed per expectations.
  • You will be the resident analytics champion responsible for fostering a culture of data driven decision making within the CEM team.
  • You need to be extremely self-motivated, accountable, results-oriented, and comfortable working in an unstructured business environment. Previous experience of lean and agile working methodologies is also desirable.
Role Requirements
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in the field of data analytics with 2+ years of people management; prior professional experience in the Financial Services / Banking field a plus. Expert command of database querying (SQL) and sound statistics knowledge with a reasonable command over R/Python is a must.
  • Familiarity with dashboarding and visualization tools like Microsoft Power BI, Tableau is needed.
  • Exposure to CDP tools like Adobe Analytics/Amplitude is desired.
  • Also required is proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Power Point) and the ability to communicate with multiple business partners in a non-technical language.
