1.Basic Function: The Assistant Manager - Business Development and Operations is responsible for supporting PRESPLs growth through effective customer acquisition, biomass supply chain management, and operational efficiency. This role involves overseeing biomass aggregation, logistics, vendor Management, and maintaining relationships to ensure alignment with company objectives in sustainability and profitability. 2.Key Responsibilities Areas (KRAs): A. Customer Acquisition and Business Development: 1.Support the development of strategies to acquire new clients and expand geographic reach, targeting a 15% annual growth in new client acquisitions. 2.Assist in nurturing long-term relationships with clients, achieving a customer retention rate of at least 90%. 3.Coordinate and implement strategies for increasing client satisfaction through efficient service delivery. B. Biomass Sourcing and Aggregation: 1.Manage biomass sourcing efforts within the zone to meet an annual target of 25,000 MT. 2.Develop relationships with suppliers and farmers, negotiating favorable contracts and managing sourcing fluctuations due to seasonality. 3.Conduct biomass availability assessments and maintain up-to-date sourcing maps to ensure continuous supply. C. Supply Chain and Logistics Coordination: 1.Oversee logistics and transportation to ensure on-time delivery, with a target of 95% adherence to schedules. 2.Coordinate with logistics providers to optimize transport routes and reduce biomass handling costs by 10%. 3.Ensure that storage practices minimize biomass degradation, achieving a reduction in spoilage and handling losses. D. Vendor and Supplier Relationship Management: 1.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, focusing on improving satisfaction levels by 80%. 2.Oversee vendor negotiations to achieve cost reductions of 10% on procurement and logistics. E. Regulatory Compliance and Documentation: 1.Ensure compliance with all environmental, legal, and company-specific regulations, aiming for 100% compliance in statutory audits. 2.Maintain records and documentation for all sourcing, procurement, and operational activities to meet company policy and legal standards. F. Process Improvement and Cost Management: 1.Identify areas for process improvement in biomass sourcing and logistics to reduce operational costs by 12%. 2.Implement at least two process improvements annually in coordination with the Zonal Head, focusing on efficiency gains and cost reductions. Educational / Professional Qualification required: MBA (Marketing)/ Preferably from the biomass industry (Supply chain).
