Manager - Briquetting Plants ( Biomass/ Biofuels )

1. Production & Operational Efficiency

• Achieve targeted briquette production volumes across all plants.
• Maintain consistent product quality and timely dispatch.
• Minimize machine downtime through scheduled and preventive maintenance.

2. Supply Chain & Material Flow

• Monitor inward and outward supply chain to ensure timely delivery and dispatch.
• Maintain optimal quality standards of incoming raw material and outgoing finished goods.
• Coordinate with SCM and Field Officers for real-time stock tracking and movement.

3. Procurement & Inventory Management

• Ensure procurement of spares and consumables with shortest possible Turnaround Time (TAT).
• Maintain critical spares inventory at all plants.
• Track usage and initiate reorder levels proactively.

4. Energy & Utility Optimization

• Monitor and regulate electricity usage to ensure optimum energy efficiency.
• Implement energy-saving best practices across all briquette plants.

5. Compliance, Contracts & Documentation

• Ensure 100% compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory norms (Factory Act, Pollution Control Board, etc.).
• Manage contracts related to plant operations (lease, O&M, AMC, service vendors).
• Maintain documentation as per internal and external audit requirements.

6. Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)

• Enforce all EHS guidelines and safety protocols across plants.
• Conduct safety drills and training for plant personnel.
• Ensure readiness for fire, flood, or accident situations through preventive planning.

7. Monitoring & Reporting

• Develop log frames, formats, and matrices to track operations from RM to FG.
• Submit plant-wise performance reports (daily/weekly/monthly) to Sr. VP South Zone.
• Analyze downtime and exception reports with root cause and corrective action.

8. Plant Supervision & On-Site Review

• Conduct regular visits to each BP Plant to review on-ground implementation.
• Supervise work conducted under local arrangements and ensure adherence to SOPs.

9. HR & Manpower Management

• Manage recruitment, training, and retention of skilled manpower.
• Address grievances and reduce attrition.
• Ensure attendance, shift management, and task allocation are in place.

10. Financial Accountability & Profitability

• Drive plant-level cost efficiencies without compromising quality.
• Contribute to profitability by controlling operational overheads.
• Support Finance with plant MIS inputs and monthly profitability reports.
