Assistant Legal Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, NDAs, MoUs, and other legal documents.
• Assist in managing litigation, arbitration, and other legal proceedings, including liaising with external counsel.
• Provide legal advice and support to various departments to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings on relevant laws, regulations, and precedents.
• Maintain legal records, case files, and documentation in an organized manner.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations and ensure appropriate updates to internal policies.
• Support the compliance function in implementing legal and regulatory policies.
• Prepare legal reports, MIS, and updates for management.
• Assist in corporate secretarial activities, if required.

Preferred candidate profile

* Bachelors degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university; LL.M. preferred but not mandatory.

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in corporate legal, in-house legal teams, or law firms.
• Sound knowledge of corporate law, contract law, labor laws, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university; LL.M. preferred but not mandatory.
