Job Description

The Sales Operations Head is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the sales operations processes within the organization, ensuring efficient order management, process and efficiency improvement, customer complaint management. The role is also responsible for driving profitable growth through Indoor sales and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance overall sales effectiveness and customer (Internal and external) satisfaction.

Role & responsibilities

  • Drive the complete order to cash process efficiently ensuring monthly billing and revenue numbers as per budget and forecast through order management and cross functional order fulfillment and account receivable team.
  • Drive and improve processes related order entry, order management, tendering, customer complaint management, Indoor sales through order management team and indoor sales team.
  • Drive the revenue and profitable growth targets assigned to Indoor sales & CART by managing the entire sales process from lead qualification to closing deals through Indoor Sales & New Customer Acquisition.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction (Internal and external) by improving internal processes, process simplification, digitization and automation.
  • Generate regular reports on key sales and supply chain metrics, providing insights to support data-driven decision-making. Conduct trend analysis to identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Run regular customer satisfaction surveys to understand the area of customer pain and drive improvement actions involving cross-functional stakeholders. Demonstrate the Customer satisfaction improvement (NPS or similar) by driving the cross functional improvement projects, initiatives and actions.
  • Evaluate and select the right sales tools and technologies to support sales operations. Drive digitization programs, improvement in current digital sales tool (OMP2.0) and keep updated and implement new digital technology development and tools (RPA/OCR etc) to improve the sales processes.
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce or similar) software to track leads, update customer information, and report on Indoor sales activities. Maintain the customer data hygiene to meet the business requirements.
  • Develop the team by identifying the training needs through Individual development plan and level up discussions and drive training programs through L & DC, aligned with needs.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelor of Engineering / MBA in Sales, Marketing or Operations will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 15 years of proven experience out of which minimum 5 years experience in leadership role of driving sales operations, transformation initiatives, efficiency improvement programs like value stream mapping.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and drive improvement programs and initiatives.
  • Business and Finance acumen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
