Assistant General Counsel

You will be joining Nasdaq's Legal, Regulatory & Risk group as an Assistant General Counsel, supporting the global legal team in North America, Europe, and Asia. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading a team of attorneys in Mumbai to manage Nasdaq's enterprise commercial client and procurement agreements. - Drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating various commercial and licensing agreements such as SaaS client and vendor agreements, licensing agreements, NDAs, and sponsorship and events. - Handling more complex drafting, review, analysis, and negotiations independently. - Collaborating with sales, operations, and product teams to ensure company objectives are achieved. - Providing legal guidance and support to internal businesses worldwide on licensing, technology, and commercial legal matters. - Staying updated on regulations affecting Nasdaq products and services. - Representing the company's positions in commercial matters without close supervision from senior lawyers. Qualifications we are looking for: - Minimum of 12 years of experience, preferably in a top law firm or in-house. - Extensive background in drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements. - Experience in leading a team of attorneys and legal professionals. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams across regions. - Excellent communication, organizational, and prioritization skills. - Education Qualification: Bachelor of Law Preferred qualifications would include: - Experience in training junior team members and leading attorney teams. - Understanding of legal and business aspects of licensing data, software, technology products, and services. - Knowledge of intellectual property, data privacy, and data security. - Familiarity with contract lifecycle management platforms, preferably Conga.
