Job Title: Assistant Embedded Software Manager Location: Gurgaon Department: R&D / Engineering Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Assistant Embedded Software Manager to support the development, testing, and optimization of embedded software systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of embedded systems, and a willingness to travel for field research, partner collaboration, and technology scouting. Key Responsibilities: Assist in leading the embedded software team in designing, coding, and testing real-time software for embedded systems. Collaborate with hardware engineers, systems engineers, and product management to ensure software meets requirements and performance goals. Support and manage project timelines, software deliverables, and documentation in coordination with cross-functional teams. Conduct and oversee field research and testing, including travel to customer sites, industry events, and research institutions. Evaluate and integrate new technologies or tools from global sources into the embedded software development lifecycle. Ensure code quality through peer reviews, unit testing, and adherence to coding standards. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical growth of the team. Requirements: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical , electronics and Computer Engineering or a related field. 5+ years of experience in embedded software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems and familiarity with RTOS environments. Experience with microcontrollers, SoCs, or embedded Linux systems. Strong debugging and analytical skills using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and protocol analysers. Excellent communication and project coordination skills. Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% for research, field testing, and collaboration. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IoT, wireless protocols (BLE, Zigbee, etc.), or automotive/machine control systems. Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies. Exposure to cybersecurity principles in embedded systems. Multilingual or multicultural exposure (especially for international travel assignments). Show more Show less
