Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to lead
the civil engineering scope of utility-scale renewable energy projects. Thisrole involves comprehensive design across all project lifecycle stages,including feasibility studies, DPR, basic engineering, detailed engineering,and construction support, ensuring all civil infrastructure is designed forsafety, compliance, and optimal performance, with responsibilitiesincluding tendering support, and contract preparation.Project Engineering: ? Oversee lead civil and structural engineer for commercial andutility-scale solar, wind, and hybrid projects? Manage project timelines, budgets and deliverables,ensuring adherence to schedules, client specifications andquality standards? Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (civil, mechanical,electrical) and liaise with permitting authorities, utilities, andEPC contractors.? Provide leadership in planning, resource allocation, riskmanagement, and progress monitoring throughout theproject lifecycleDesign & Layout: ? Develop preliminary layouts and final permit packages basedon the client's needs and specifications.? Lead the design, analysis, and detailing of all civilinfrastructure elements required for a power plant, includingsite grading plans, internal roads, drainage systems, fencing,gates, boundary walls, and associated civil works andfoundation designs for all equipments of renewable powerplant (eg., solar carports, roof-top solar arrays, and groundmounted solar arrays (fixed and Tracker), Wind turbine, unitsubstation, switchyard, etc)? Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings, architecturallayouts, and sections that integrate civil designs seamlesslywith mechanical and electrical requirements, ensuringnecessary clearances and optimal equipment orientation? Perform Review and validate by critically assessing, anddocumentation, ensuring compliance with local codes and project standards.? Structural Design & Analysis:? Perform detailed geotechnical review (soil investigationreport & soil improvement techniques) and based on thegeotechnical recommendation, design foundation for a widearray of equipment, including MMS (fixed and trackersystems), SCBs, Inverter Stations, Transformers, HT Panels,WMS, and micro-piling for cable tray systems / cable trench,etc? Utilise advanced structural software (e.g., STAAD Pro, ETABS)to design all permanent site buildings (Control Rooms,Security Cabins, MCR/ICR buildings, Station Sheds), ensuringcompliance with relevant Indian and international buildingcodesFeasibility & Assessment: Conducting technical feasibility studies, geotechnical reviews, and site assessments for solar,wind, and hybrid projects, focusing purely on civil and structuralviability and prepare detailed technical reports andrecommendations for project stakeholders? Documentation:? Prepare design calculations, and develop detailed foundationdrawings, and all necessary documentation for bothstatutory approvals and construction execution? Preparing and evaluating technical specifications, Bill ofQuantities (BOQ), tender documents, and bid packages forEPC contractors, OEMs, and service providers related to civilworks.? Preparing and delivering technical reports, proposals, andpresentations for clients and stakeholdersTendering & Contracts: Providing technical support during tendering processes (pre-bid & post-bid clarifications, bidevaluation, techno-commercial comparisons of civil bids).Supporting contract preparation including drafting of technicalschedules, performance guarantees for civil works, warrantyclauses, and scope of work definitions? Coordination: Coordinating with utilities, project design teams(mechanical/electrical), permitting authorities, and constructionexecution teams to integrate civil designs seamlessly? Vendor Management: Communicating and managing vendorsand subcontractors involved in civil construction and materialssupply? Project Execution Support: Participating in project execution,site inspections, quality control, and performance verification ofconstructed civil and structural elements? Optimization: Improving existing civil and structural designs to enhance performance and efficiency, ensuring projects meet highstandards for safety, durability, and cost-effectiveness.Software Proficiency ? STAAD Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite Keywords ?
