Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dealer Management & Market Penetration:

    Identify and onboard dealers to strengthen market reach and increase depth in market share. Support dealers in meeting their targets by providing guidance and necessary training.
  • Sales Analysis & Strategy Implementation:

    Analyze current sales trends compared to last year's performance and implement sales activities to achieve targets. Monitor product sales growth, focusing on volume and value to maximize revenue.
  • Product Seeding & Availability:

    Ensure that new products are strategically seeded within the right channels and that key outlets maintain the full range of SKUs for consistent availability.
  • Sales Promotion & Brand Building:

    Develop and implement promotional programs to enhance brand visibility and support overall brand-building efforts within the territory.
  • Profitability Management:

    Ensure dealer profitability aligns with organizational goals, balancing company interests with dealer satisfaction.
  • Territory & Competitor Monitoring:

    Prepare a monthly territory monitoring report, including insights into competitor activities, and conduct retail audits to assess market potential and competitive positioning.
  • Issue Resolution & Relationship Building:

    Address dealer issues promptly to maintain smooth business relationships and strong communication channels.
  • Team Management:

    Team handling skills is preferred.

Educational & Experience Requirements:

  • Qualifications:

    Bachelors degree in any specialization (B.Tech/B.E., B.Sc., or B.Com preferred). A postgraduate degree/diploma in Marketing Management (MBA/PGDM) is desirable.
  • Experience:

    5-7 years of retail, distribution & channel sales experience, preferably in the paints or building materials industry.

    High levels of energy and confidence, with a results-driven approach to achieve sales targets.
  • Excellent Communication & Selling Skills:

    Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a flair for market analysis and relationship building.

    Ability to understand and adapt to market dynamics, converting product opportunities into sales.
  • Self-starter:

    A proactive go-getter with high initiative and a keen sense of responsibility.
  • Local Expertise:

    Preferably a local candidate with strong knowledge of the territory and its market dynamics.
