About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in accounting principles, basic exposure to taxation (TDS and GST), and understanding of fixed asset accounting and audit processes. Candidates having knowledge of US, UK, or UAE accounting will be given additional preference. Strong command of English—both written and comprehension—is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting records and ensure accuracy in books of accounts.
• Assist in preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, schedules).
• Handle basic TDS calculations, entries, reconciliations, and compliance support.
• Assist in GST data compilation, return preparation, and reconciliation.
• Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and depreciation workings.
• Support internal and statutory audits by preparing required documentation and schedules.
• Perform bank reconciliations, vendor and customer ledger reconciliations.
• Assist seniors with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Ensure proper documentation, filing, and compliance support.
• Work on accounting software for entries, reporting, and reconciliations.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Basic understanding of accounting concepts and standards.
• Working knowledge of TDS, GST, and related compliance.
• Familiarity with fixed asset accounting and depreciation.
• Exposure to audit support and working paper preparation.
• Basic knowledge of US/UK/UAE accounting will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of accounting software is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and general computer applications.
• Strong communication skills with good command of English (written and understanding).
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and willing to learn.
• Ability to work in a team and meet timelines.

Eligibility

• B.Com / M.Com qualification.
• Freshers or candidates with 1–5 years of relevant experience.
• Background in commerce or accounting preferred.
