As a member of the team at Viraaj HR Solutions, you will play a crucial role in supporting AS400 systems to ensure optimal operation and performance. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing support for AS400 systems, troubleshooting issues, and resolving them efficiently. - Monitoring system performance and taking corrective actions when necessary. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement system updates and changes. - Assisting in system upgrades, including planning and executing migrations. - Performing regular backups and restore operations to minimize data loss. - Creating and maintaining technical documentation for system configurations and processes. - Responding to client support tickets promptly and professionally. - Training and supporting end-users in AS400 functionalities. - Working closely with the IT team to analyze system requirements and provide recommendations. - Maintaining compliance with security policies and data protection regulations. - Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to application software running on AS400. - Generating reports and analyzing system usage data to identify improvement areas. - Participating in team meetings to discuss project progress and user concerns. - Assisting in developing disaster recovery plans for AS400 systems. - Staying updated on industry trends and advancements related to AS400 technologies. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Strong knowledge of AS400 system architecture and operations. - Proficiency in RPG, COBOL, and CL programming languages. - Experience with system performance monitoring and optimization. - Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures for AS400. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. - Experience with client interaction and support roles. - Knowledge of databases such as DB2. - Understanding of security best practices for systems and data management. - Willingness to learn new technologies and tools related to AS400. - Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks. - Strong organizational skills with the capability to handle multiple projects. - Experience in creating and maintaining technical documents.,
