About the Role

highly driven AI Engineer Intern

As an intern at Optivus, you’ll be an integral part of our engineering team — working hands-on with large language models (LLMs), machine learning pipelines, and scalable web technologies. You won’t just be building prototypes; you’ll help ship production-ready features for real clients and get deep exposure to the full AI product lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

• Build and test ML/LLM pipelines for various business use cases
• Integrate AI models and APIs into functional web applications
• Develop and optimize backend services using Python, FastAPI, or Node.js
• Work with vector databases, embedding models, and prompt orchestration tools
• Contribute to end-to-end system architecture — from data handling to inference and UI integration
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code using Git workflows
• Stay on top of new advancements in generative AI, LLMs, and MLOps
• Collaborate closely with the founding team on building deployable, scalable AI tools

What We’re Looking For

• Strong foundation in Python and machine learning fundamentals
• Experience with frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face Transformers
• Familiarity with LLM tools such as LangChain, OpenAI API, or similar
• Ability to build and consume REST APIs
• Understanding of vector stores (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate)
• Bonus: Experience with full-stack frameworks (React/Next.js) or backend dev (FastAPI, Node.js)
• Excellent problem-solving ability and willingness to learn fast
• A builder mindset — you’re excited to ship, iterate, and improve
