Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop, script, and execute automated regression tests using Selenium WebDriver or other automation frameworks.
• Write, modify, and optimize SQL queries for data validation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Write clean, efficient code in at least one programming language (Java, Python, etc.) for automation scripts.
• Test both web applications and non-GUI applications (such as flat files, XML files, etc.) to ensure functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Conduct API testing using tools like JMeter, Postman, or other relevant tools to validate services and endpoints.
• Work with development teams to ensure that all requirements are captured and testing is done accordingly.
• Manage and track test cases and defects using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar management tools.
• Participate in Agile (Scrum) ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product, and business) to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Develop, maintain, and update automated test scripts to support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Ensure that test documentation is up-to-date, including test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
• Troubleshoot issues identified during testing and assist developers with root cause analysis.
  

Required Skills

• Selenium WebDriver for automated test scripting and test execution.
• Proficiency in writing, modifying, and executing SQL queries for test validation and data checks.
• Strong programming skills in at least one language such as Java, Python, or others.
• Familiarity with development formats and data representations like XML, JSON, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks, including JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Experience with API testing tools like JMeter, Postman, or others.
• Experience testing web applications and web services to validate functionality and performance.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD integration.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in a collaborative environment.
• JIRA, Azure DevOps, or other test management tools for defect tracking and test case management.
