Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for the assigned area.
  • Plan and execute sales strategies to grow market share.
  • Appoint, manage, and support distributors, dealers, and retailers.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor sales, stock levels, and channel performance.
  • Build strong relationships with farmers, dairy societies, veterinarians, and key influencers.
  • Organize farmer meetings, cattle camps, and promotional activities.
  • Collect market intelligence on competitor products, pricing, and schemes.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain credit control.
  • Coordinate with production, logistics, and accounts for smooth operations.
  • Submit regular sales reports and maintain documentation accurately.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Experience:

    5-8 years in cattle feed, animal nutrition, dairy input, or agri-input sales.
  • Education:

    Graduate in Agriculture, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, or any discipline; MBA preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge:

    Strong understanding of cattle feed products, dairy farming practices, and rural markets.
  • Sales Skills:

    Proven track record in dealer management, field sales, and target achievement.
  • Location:

    Should be familiar with local geography, language, and rural distribution network.
