Job Title : Project Manager Solar Projects Location: L ucknow/Bihar location Department : Projects / Operations Reports To : Head Projects / Operations Manager Job Type : Full-time Job Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end execution of solar power projects from planning and design to installation, commissioning, and handover. The role involves cross-functional coordination, project scheduling, budget control, vendor and contractor management, and ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee solar project execution, including site surveys, design validation, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Develop detailed project plans with timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting. Coordinate with internal engineering, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are met. Monitor project progress and resolve any issues or delays proactively. Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Conduct regular site visits to supervise work and ensure adherence to design and engineering specifications. Lead project review meetings and generate progress reports for stakeholders. Manage documentation and approvals related to project execution, net metering, and handover. Optimize resource use and control project costs to remain within budget. Requirements: Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline, PMP certification is a plus. Experience: 48 years of experience in solar project management (Rooftop/Ground-mounted/Utility-scale). Strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, structures, and electrical systems. Excellent project planning, budgeting, and reporting skills. Proven experience in vendor and contractor management. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.). Willingness to travel to project sites as needed. Preferred Skills: Experience handling both rooftop and utility-scale solar projects. Knowledge of government solar schemes, DISCOM regulations, and net metering policies. Understanding of quality standards (ISO, IEC) and safety norms (HSE compliance).
