Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to head Mumbai operations based at our Masjid Bunder East delivery warehouse. The Area Manager will oversee additional branches at Dadar, Andheri, and Dongri (main booking locations for our express cargo service to Hyderabad).

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise express cargo deliveries and parcel service operations at the Masjid Bunder warehouse

• Manage booking and dispatch from Mumbai branches for intercity and intracity cargo movement

• Engage market vehicles for local deliveries and line-haul routes

• Develop new business and routes; expand client base and retain existing customers

• Maintain strong customer relations in Mumbai’s competitive logistics market

• Continuously address labour management and staff issues

• Implement company procedures/policies, ensure compliance and accurate record keeping

• Coordinate daily with all branches, ensuring smooth bookings, deliveries, and operations

• Support sales, business development, and general administration for Mumbai area

• Any other duties suitable to the area manager role as required by the company

Key Requirements:

• Prior experience in cargo/logistics/parcel delivery operations

• Strong leadership, communication, and management skills

• Experience in business development and customer retention

• Familiarity with Mumbai markets and vehicle/route engagement

• Ability to resolve labour issues and manage teams effectively

• Diligence in maintaining records and following operational procedures

• Willingness to travel within Mumbai as required
