A credit manager in a bank evaluates a borrower's creditworthiness to determine if they should be granted a loan, manages the credit granting process by setting credit policies and limits, oversees loan portfolios to minimize risk and bad debts, and ensures compliance with banking regulations. Their primary goal is to balance risk and profit by approving creditworthy borrowers while maintaining the financial health of the bank.
