Area Business Manager

Job Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM)

Department: Sales & Marketing
Reports To: Regional Sales Manager

Job Purpose

To lead and manage a team of Medical Representatives (MRs) within a designated territory, ensuring achievement of sales targets, brand promotion, and strategic execution aligned with company goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and motivate a team of 4–6 Medical Representatives
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for pharmaceutical products
• Conduct joint fieldwork with MRs to coach and monitor performance
• Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), doctors, and chemists
• Ensure effective implementation of promotional strategies and campaigns
• Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence
• Manage territory vacancies and ensure uninterrupted coverage
• Submit timely reports on sales performance, market feedback, and team activities
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate in Science or Pharmacy (B.Sc / B.Pharm); MBA preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in pharma sales, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in territory planning, data analysis, and CRM tools
• Ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹16,573.95 - ₹50,770.69 per month
