Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1.Product Evaluation & Trials

  • Plan, establish, and manage multilocation trials (MLTs), adaptive trials, and demo plots for new hybrids/varieties.
  • Ensure timely sowing, plot maintenance, data collection, and trial documentation.
  • Evaluate agronomic performance, disease tolerance, quality parameters, and yield across locations.
  • Maintain accurate trial records, GPS data, and photographs.

2. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Compile, analyze, and interpret field performance data.
  • Prepare periodic performance reports for the product development and breeding teams.
  • Provide clear recommendations on product advancement, modification, or discontinuation.

3. Market Intelligence & Product Fit

  • Conduct competitor product assessments in the field.
  • Identify regional agro-climatic zones suitable for newly developed products.
  • Provide insights on farmer preferences, cropping systems, disease pressures, and market trends.

4. Product Launch Support

  • Assist sales and marketing teams during product launch with technical demonstrations and training.
  • Prepare technical product dossiers, brochures,comparison sheets, and crop production guidelines.
  • Support creation and execution of product positioning strategies.

5. Farmer & Channel Engagement

  • Organize field days, farmer meetings, and demo events to showcase product performance.
  • Build strong relationships with progressive farmers, dealers, distributors, and influencers.
  • Collect feedback on product performance and market needs.

6. Compliance & Quality Monitoring

  • Monitor seed quality issues and report field-level complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with internal R&D protocols and safety guidelines.

7. Coordination & Teamwork

  • Work closely with breeding, agronomy, QA, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Provide technical support and training to sales staff and field partners.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, agri exhibitions, and field visits when required.
