Job Title: Architecture InternLocation: Igatpuri, Maharashtra (NavGurukul HQ Project)Duration: 3 months (Full Time Internship)

About Navgurukul

Navgurukul is a nonprofit focused on empowering youth through innovative education and community-driven initiatives. We are currently building our new headquarters in Igatpuri and seek a passionate architecture intern to join our team.

About The Project

NavGurukul's Igatpuri campus project is designed to provide a mindful, inclusive residential and workspace for its growing team, primarily alumni from underserved backgrounds, to foster collaboration, spiritual practice, and learning. Located on a 2-acre site near the Dhamma Giri Vipassana center in the Western Ghats, the campus is meant to incorporate meditation halls, dormitories, workspaces, and essential facilities built with local materials and vernacular architecture, emphasizing sustainability, modesty, and passive climate responsiveness. The facility supports short-term residencies and community living with a focus on frugal, service-oriented design, enabling NavGurukul to strengthen team coordination and deepen regular contemplative routines aligned with its mission of digital inclusion, empowerment, and social impact. Key Responsibilities

Assist in conceptualising and designing architectural plans for the HQ building.
Support the senior architects and project team during site visits and construction phases.
Prepare detailed drawings, 3D models, and presentations using architecture software.
Conduct research and gather data on building materials, sustainability practices, and regulations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, contractors, and designers.
Help maintain and update project documentation and schedules.

Skills And Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
Strong understanding of architectural design principles and construction methods.
Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar.
Good visualization and drafting skills, with attention to detail.
Eagerness to learn and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Excellent communication skills to present ideas and report progress.

Compensation

The internship is a full-time role based in Igatpuri with a monthly stipend of ₹13,000 to ₹15,000 + Accommodation and Food
This stipend aims to fairly compensate for the intern’s contributions while providing valuable hands-on experience at Navgurukul's HQ building project.
