Architect - Interior Design

The Architect - Interior Design is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction and renovation of interior spaces. This role involves creating aesthetically pleasing and functional environments that enhance the quality of life for occupants while adhering to safety and building regulations. The Architect will work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to bring interior design projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Planning:

• Develop and present interior design concepts that meet client requirements and preferences.
• Create detailed design plans, including floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings.
• Select materials, furniture, and finishes that align with the design vision and budget.

Project Management:

• Oversee the entire design process from concept to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

Client Interaction:

• Engage with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints.
• Present design proposals and make necessary revisions based on client feedback.
• Provide expert advice on interior design, space planning, and material selection.

Technical and Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure all design plans comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
• Prepare and submit necessary documentation for building permits and approvals.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate best practices into design solutions.

Collaboration and Coordination:

• Work closely with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to integrate interior design with overall building design.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials and furnishings.
• Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to the project team and clients.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.

• Experience:

  Minimum of 5 years of experience in interior design, preferably within an architectural firm or design studio.

Skills:

• Strong creative and artistic abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
