Role Overview

• Design robust GIS Analysis framework to meet the demands of business
• Frame Technical requirements of the project
• Managing and Transformation of Data
• The person will be part of a major Insurance client. He/ She will work with different stakeholders as SME for geo-spatial mapping, GIS, spatial data, data quality and testing.
• Engages in technical problem solving across multiple technologies (SQL, MS Excel, ; often needs to develop new solutions
• Proficient in developing features and functions through Arc Objects
• Individual will source data from multiple sources, clean and maintain spatial/geographic datasets in ArcGIS (file geodatabases, feature classes, shapefiles, rasters) to support project workflows
• Individual will need to develop interactive Maps and visualization to effectively communicate spatial information, performingtrends analysis and spatial analysis (e.g., overlays, buffering etc.) using GIS tools
• Developand maintain GIS Databases, metadata, and documentation to support data management and sharing across departments or organizations.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility through database administration, backup and recovery procedures.
• A suitable candidate should have 3-6 years of experience in a similar role and should possess a go -getter attitude and a high degree of ownership skills. He/ She should be able to deal with ambiguity
• Experience in insurance preferred but not mandatory

• Common Skillsets:
• 3+ years of experience in GIS, SQL, ETL and associated data jobs.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills and should be able to communicate with client effectively
• Experience in managing GIS Models and collaborating with customer on geo spatial data model evolution
• Good knowledge of ArcGIS
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in GIS workflow automation
• Should be able to work on a problem independently and prepare client ready deliverable with minimal or no supervision
• Strong ability to translate functional specifications / requirements to technical requirements
• Proficient in handling complex requirements, and automate processes across multiple tools
  

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems/Geospatial Engineering/Geoinformatics; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
• Strong and in-depth understanding of GIS Fundamentals
• Geo Spatial Mapping experience (mandatory)
• Superior analytical and problem solving skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
