Job Title: Applications and Systems Consultant

Job Summary:

The Applications and Systems Consultant plays a critical role in evaluating and enhancing the organization's software ecosystem, including legacy systems, enterprise applications, email platforms, and cloud services. This role ensures that all systems are secure, well-integrated, and aligned with business continuity goals. The consultant provides strategic recommendations for system upgrades, replacements, and performance improvements to support operational efficiency and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  System Evaluation & Architecture:
  
• Assess current application architectures and legacy systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  
• Evaluate cloud services and email platforms to ensure they meet organizational needs and security standards.
  
• Identify integration gaps and propose solutions to streamline workflows across systems.
  
• Security & Compliance:
  
• Ensure all applications and systems comply with relevant security protocols and regulatory standards.
  
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement robust access controls and data protection measures.
  
• Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments.
  
• Performance Optimization:
  
• Monitor system performance and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
  
• Recommend and implement enhancements to improve speed, reliability, and user experience.
  
• Support capacity planning and resource optimization.
  
• Upgrade & Modernization Strategy:
  
• Develop roadmaps for application upgrades and system replacements.
  
• Evaluate emerging technologies and tools for potential adoption.
  
• Lead or support migration projects, including cloud transitions and legacy system decommissioning.
  
• Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery:
  
• Ensure systems are designed with redundancy and failover capabilities.
  
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing.
  
• Maintain documentation for recovery procedures and system dependencies.
  
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  
• Work closely with business units to understand application needs and pain points.
  
• Provide expert guidance on software selection and implementation.
  
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  
• Proven experience in application consulting, systems analysis, or enterprise architecture.
  
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AWS, Azure), legacy systems, and integration frameworks.
  
• Familiarity with ITIL, DevOps practices, and security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR)
  
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  
• 7-10 years of relevant experience in IT

Requirements

We request the provision of the following resources on a priority basis for an upcoming engagement. These consultants are expected to operate independently as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within their respective domains, demonstrating proficiency across multiple technologies. The assignment will be on-site and is expected to extend for more than 12 months. Client will provide all necessary logistical support required for the on-site deployment. We are looking forward to your confirmation and your support in mobilising these resources. City within KSA - Job will be based in Jeddah, but the resources need to Makkah and Madina as and when needed
