Summary:The Zscaler Digital Transformation Engineer – Level 3 is going to lead the design, deployment, and ongoing management of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) solutions within large-scale enterprise environments. This expert-level position involves strategic planning, architecture, advanced troubleshooting, policy optimization, and direct client interaction.In addition to deep Zscaler expertise, the candidate should possess basic Splunk knowledge to support log analysis, integration, and visibility use cases. The role plays a key part in enterprise cloud security posture and digital transformation initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Manage Zscaler ZIA and ZPA architectures in complex enterprise environments.Responsible for managing action plans and future requests, including automation initiatives.Define and optimize policies for secure web, cloud, and private application access.Serve as the technical SME for all Zscaler-related initiatives, including Zero Trust strategy, integrations, and custom configurations.Lead advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for Zscaler-related incidents.Integrate Zscaler logging with Splunk for analytics, alerting, and compliance reporting.Provide technical leadership to Level 1 and Level 2 teams, including mentoring and knowledge transfer.Collaborate with networking, security, and identity teams for seamless end-to-end solutions.Drive improvements in access control, performance, and user experience across Zscaler deployments.Participate in change management, risk assessment, and stakeholder communication.Maintain technical documentation, solution designs, and runbooks in alignment with compliance standards.Resources should take care of RCA, design action plans for daily operations and help in the resolution. Manage and prioritize the future or upcoming requests. They should be able to present their POV regarding the upcoming changes.
Professional & Technical Skills:5–12 years of experience in network security, cloud access technologies, and enterprise IT environments.Expert-level hands-on experience with Zscaler ZIA and ZPA, including administration, policy creation, authentication, and troubleshooting.Strong understanding of Zero Trust Architecture, web filtering, SSL inspection, DNS tunneling prevention, and cloud security best practices.Basic working knowledge of Splunk for log analysis, dashboards, and alert configuration.Experience with SAML, SCIM, Azure AD, and identity/access integrations.Proven experience leading security technology rollouts and managing global deployments.Familiarity with ITIL-based service delivery, change and incident management.
