Application Engineer - Low Pressure Products

Your role: As an Application Engineer in the Solutions Center of Excellence at GECIA, you will play a crucial role in supporting low-pressure municipal projects from the AGA division for global customer centers. You will serve as the contact person for regional Business Development Managers, ensuring the successful implementation of wastewater treatment projects. Your responsibilities will include interpreting technical specifications, selecting appropriate technologies, developing technical proposals, performing calculations, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, and presenting solutions effectively during the sales process. Roles and Responsibilities: - Act as the primary point of contact for regional Business Development Managers for wastewater treatment projects. - Interpret technical specifications and summarize them effectively. - Select the appropriate technology from the Low-Pressure product portfolio for specific tenders. - Develop, prepare, and write technical proposals for blower systems and solutions. - Conduct thermodynamic and mechanical calculations using proprietary design software. - Perform process calculations based on customer-specific requirements for low-pressure applications. - Ensure compliance with customer technical specifications and identify deviations. - Present technical proposals in a competitive and comprehensive manner. - Verify the correctness of the scope of supply. Qualification Requirements: - Engineering Degree with 5-8 years of industry experience in roles such as Sales Engineer, Process Engineer, Design Engineer, Application Engineer, or Project Engineer. - Solid understanding of basic Mechanical and electrical systems, instrumentation control systems. - Familiarity with engineering documents like GA, P&ID, Single line diagram, Process flow diagram. - Knowledge of compressors, blowers, rotating equipment, turbo machinery. - Understanding of wastewater treatment processes and the role of compressed air. - Familiarity with engineering software (CAD, PLM, SAP, CPQ) is advantageous. - Knowledge of Atlas Copco proprietary software (Airchitect, PASEL, Dryer Selection Tool, Blower selection tool) is a plus. - Experience with AI tools in proposal activities is beneficial. Educational Requirement: - BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering/Production Engineering/Chemical Engineering Personality Requirements: - Must be a team player with an open-minded and positive attitude. - Strong customer focus with good problem-solving skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Proficiency in English (both oral and written).
