Job Description

You should have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (an MBA or CFA would be a plus). You should also possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in M&A, corporate finance, or investment banking with a focus on the IT/Tech sector. Your role will involve conducting due diligence, financial modeling, and valuation, so a strong understanding of M&A processes, financial statements, and IT sector trends is necessary. In terms of skills, you must have strong analytical and financial modeling skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools is required. You should also be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include identifying potential targets in the market that align with the criteria set in the M&A strategy, curating a list of companies based on their financials and other relevant details, and shortlisting companies that meet the criteria. You will be responsible for contacting targets to express interest, coordinating with the leadership team, setting up data rooms, exchanging information, liaising with legal and due diligence teams, and working as an integral part of the M&A team until the deal is closed and the integration process begins. Your primary skills should include proficiency in Microsoft Excel, finance software, and legal research tools. Other skills that are important for this role include communication, active listening, teamwork, adaptability, leadership, problem-solving, time management, and familiarity with tax preparation software.,
