YOU WILL BE:

As a Data Scientist, you will build and scale data-driven solutions that power personalization, optimize marketing decisions, and improve business performance across Saks’ digital ecosystem. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into analytical problems and develop models that drive measurable impact.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Build predictive and machine learning solutions (classification, regression, clustering, recommendation systems) for enhanced business decisions.
• Support end-to-end model lifecycle — from data preparation, feature engineering, model training, and validation to deployment and performance tracking.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate analytical insights into actionable strategies for marketing, personalization, and customer retention.
• Leverage automation and MLOps frameworks to accelerate model delivery and operationalization.
• Collaborate with other team members in achieving data science outcomes and
• handle multiple products and initiatives.
• Stay current with emerging technologies (e.g., Generative AI, LLMs, and Agentic AI) and explore opportunities to apply them in production environments.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in applied data science or machine learning.
• Strong foundations in SQL, Statistics, Machine Learning and Data mining.
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Scikit Learn library, Snowflake and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Experience in scaling models from POC to production and ensuring robustness of deployed systems.
• Experience in building ML lifecycle - data prep, feature engineering, experimentation, deployment, monitoring.
• Ability to communicate insights effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Problem-solving mindset with curiosity to experiment, learn, and innovate.
