Job Description

As an Analyst - Customer Screening at Barclays, you will embark on a transformative journey shaping the future by managing operations within a business area. Key Responsibilities: - Perform Customer due diligence and screening checks as per compliance guidelines. - Review and validate customer documents for completeness and accuracy. - Conduct screening against watchlists (e.g., sanctions, PEPs, adverse media). - Maintain proper documentation for verification and screening results. - Escalate suspicious or incomplete profiles as per escalation procedures. - Prior experience in screening, compliance, or a similar domain. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Qualifications: - Minimum Qualification: bachelor's degree. The purpose of the role is to support Screening with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution, while making decisions in line with relevant regulatory and industry standards. Accountabilities: - Support day-to-day screening initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution through lending technical expertise. - Execute screening checks on customers, transactions, and other activities to identify potential risks and comply with regulatory requirements. - Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate screening processes. - Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for change in screening processes. - Develop and implement screening procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency. - Develop reports and presentations on screening performance. - Identify industry trends and developments to implement best practice in screening services. - Participate in projects and initiatives to improve screening efficiency and effectiveness. As an Analyst, you are expected to meet the needs of stakeholders/customers through operational excellence and customer service. You will execute work requirements in a timely manner and to a high standard, without any people leadership roles at this grade. Additionally, you will take ownership of managing risk, strengthening controls, and delivering work in line with relevant rules, regulations, and codes of conduct.
