We have a significant presence in the world's capital markets, investing in a wide range of companies and financial instruments in both developed and developing economies.We are looking for a candidate to join our Asset Backed Strategies (ABS) team within our Financial Research group based in Bengaluru and Hyderabad, with a focus on liquid credit/collateralized loan obligations. The group works closely with the Global ABS front office to provide indepth analytical support to the investment research and decisionmaking processes of the firm’s proprietary investment activity in the ABS markets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY:
The role involves synthesizing market information across US and European credit markets to develop thematic research and sector analyses; conducting primary and secondary research on single-name credit opportunities relating to existing positions and new investment ideas; and performing ongoing due diligence and surveillance of liquid credit and CLO portfolios, preparing sector commentary, and contributing to market updates. You will support detailed discussions with traders by providing macroeconomic updates, quantitative analyses, and presenting data-driven insights and reasoning. Additionally, the role requires interpreting and analysing large datasets on securities, collateral, and sector performance to generate meaningful research and analysis, as well as developing expertise with vendor resources, third-party tools, and research to enhance the evaluation of liquid credit strategies.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Basic qualifications:
- A degree in finance or equivalent (Master of Business Administration/Chartered Financial Analyst) along with 1-3 years of experience
- Solid knowledge of fixed income research in credit derivatives and corporate credit / CLO space
- Excellent technical abilities in Python and SQL
- Proven track record of analyzing complex datasets and applying statistical models to derive insights
- Experience with working independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with a fixed income strategy, either sell side or buy side
