Analyst - Accounting

As an accounting analyst at Principal Financial group, your role will involve accounting for insurance products and services. You will be expected to work independently, utilizing your analytical skills to research, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to financial transactions. Additionally, your responsibilities will include: - Researching, reconciling, and updating financial transactions - Processing and posting journal entries for various transactions - Reconciling general ledgers and balance sheet accounts - Processing invoices for vendors and reconciling them - Updating transaction details in databases and applications To qualify for this role, you should have an educational background in accounting, with a graduation or post-graduation in commerce or CA Inter, along with 2-4 years of relevant experience. Additionally, you should possess the following qualifications: - Knowledge of accounting cycle and fundamentals - Ability to learn and adapt to new business processes - Working knowledge of AP, AR, and GL functions - Proficiency in performing account reconciliations - Sound understanding of Excel functionality and other MS Office tools - Ability to use accounting applications and software for transaction analysis and report extraction - Exposure to ERP systems and reporting tools would be advantageous - Strong team player with excellent English communication skills - Basic planning, problem-solving, and analytical skills In this role, you will be expected to have a process-oriented mindset and experience in implementing process improvements. You will need to anticipate becoming familiar with all processes and using that knowledge to implement efficiencies. The shift timing for this position is from 01.30 to 10.30 pm.,
