Job Title: Employee Relations & Compliance Specialist Department: Human Resources (HR) / Industrial Relations (IR) Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: The Employee Relations & Compliance Specialist will serve as a key partner to management in handling employee relations, grievance resolution, and labor law compliance. The role involves providing advice to supervisors, handling labor negotiations, maintaining government relationships, and ensuring that the company adheres to all statutory regulations. Key Responsibilities: Employee Relations & Advisory: Advise managers and supervisors on best practices in employee relations, grievance handling, and workplace conflict resolution. Develop and implement training programs on labor laws, employee relations, and compliance topics. Guide managers on disciplinary actions, counseling, and dispute resolution. Labor Relations & Negotiation: Collaborate with legal counsel and relevant departments in preparation for negotiations with employee groups or unions. Participate in and support the negotiation process with labor groups, ensuring fair and legally compliant outcomes. Liaison & Government Relations: Act as a liaison between the company and government bodies, law enforcement, and statutory agencies. Build and maintain strong professional relationships with labor commissioners, factory inspectors, and other regulatory authorities. Manage visits, inspections, audits, and ensure timely responses and resolutions to government inquiries. Statutory Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with labor laws, industrial relations acts, and applicable statutory requirements. Monitor changes in labor laws and regulations, and update policies and practices accordingly. Maintain accurate records related to compliance and support audits and inspections. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Industrial Relations, or a related field. Experience:5–10 years of experience in employee relations, labor law compliance, or industrial relations, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or similar industries. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of labor laws, Factory Act, Industrial Dispute Act, and other employment-related statutes. Familiarity with HR processes, grievance mechanisms, and labor negotiations. Proficiency in MS Office tools and HR systems. Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. High integrity, confidentiality, and a professional approach to sensitive matters. Ability to manage pressure and handle conflict situations diplomatically. Work Model: Onsite
