AM Plant Maintenance - Gurugram || Chakr Innovation

Role & responsibilities

Maintenance of Machines & Equipment

• Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance for:
• Laser cutting machines
• Rolling & Bending machines
• Manual and robotic welding machines (MIG/TIG/Arc)
• Minimize machine downtime and increase equipment availability.
• Maintain critical spares inventory and liaise with OEMs for service.

Robotic Welding System Support

• Perform first-level diagnostics and minor programming adjustments on robotic welding systems (e.g., ABB, FANUC, Yaskawa).
• Collaborate with automation teams for maintenance of sensors, actuators, and controllers.
• Optimize robotic welding parameters for quality and productivity.

Plant Setup & Commissioning

• Participate in layout design and machine installation during plant expansions.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams for equipment commissioning.
• Ensure alignment with utility lines, safety zones, and process flow.

Utility Management

• Ensure smooth functioning and maintenance of:
• Compressors, chillers, ETP/STP
• HVAC, water treatment plants
• Track consumption and reduce utility-related energy costs.

DG Set & Electrical Maintenance

• Oversee DG set operation, load testing, and maintenance.
• Maintain electrical panels, distribution boards, and ensure power factor correction.
• Ensure preventive electrical safety measures and zero accidents.

Compliance & Safety (Maintenance-related

• Ensure compliance with Factory Act, electrical and boiler inspector norms, PCB (Pollution Control Board) requirements.
• Maintain documentation and records for ISO, OSHA, EMS audits.
• Conduct regular maintenance safety audits and inspections.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain history cards, breakdown records, MTBF & MTTR tracking.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly maintenance MIS reports.
• Track equipment-wise downtime and root cause analysis (RCA).

Team Supervision & Coordination

• Supervise maintenance technicians and contractors.
• Conduct tool-box talks, skill development programs, and cross-training.
• Coordinate with production, quality, EHS, and external agencies.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives

• Drive TPM, 5S, and Kaizen activities in the maintenance department.
• Identify energy-saving, cost reduction, and automation opportunities.
• Propose and execute engineering change projects for long-term reliability.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Sound knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems
• Hands-on experience with CNC/PLC-based machines
• Exposure to robotic welding cells (ABB, FANUC, Yaskawa, etc.)
• Familiarity with lean maintenance tools (TPM, 5S)
• Knowledge of EHS regulations and factory compliance norms
• SAP, Problem-solving and RCA skills
• Vendor & contractor management
