Role Overview

We are seeking an innovative AI Practitioner – Industrial Designer who blends product aesthetics with AI-driven design intelligence. This hybrid role requires strong industrial design foundations combined with hands-on experience in AI/ML tools, generative design, simulation workflows, and automated design processes.

You will design physical products while leveraging AI-driven modelling, predictive simulations, and generative design to accelerate concept exploration, improve manufacturability, and optimize design performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply industrial design principles to conceptualize and develop product aesthetics, form, ergonomics, and usability.

• Use AI/ML tools for generative design, predictive modelling, rapid simulation, and automated design iteration.

• Build 3D models, design mock-ups, and prototypes using CAD + AI-driven design workflows.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, R&D, AI teams, and manufacturing units to ensure feasibility and functional alignment.

• Conduct research on AI-powered design trends, tools, and methodologies to enhance design efficiency.

• Utilize AI-powered visualization, rendering, and material prediction tools for presentations.

• Optimize design for manufacturability, cost efficiency, sustainability, and performance.

• Prepare technical documentation, design reports, and production-ready files.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong experience in CAD & 3D design tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, CATIA, Blender).

• Exposure to AI/ML design tools such as:

- Generative design (NVIDIA Omniverse, Fusion 360 Generative Design)

- AI-based simulation/prediction

- AI-based rendering tools (Midjourney, Stable Diffusion for product concepting)

• Excellent understanding of materials, ergonomics, manufacturing processes, and design engineering.

• Strong aesthetic judgment, creativity, visualization, and prototype-building skills.

• Ability to work in cross-functional AI-engineering-design environments.

• Strong problem-solving and rapid experimentation mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Industrial Design, Product Design, AI in Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

• Experience designing consumer products, IoT devices, mobility products, or hardware-driven solutions.

• Portfolio demonstrating AI-assisted design workflows or generative design projects.
