Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Agronomist, based in Lucknow. The Agronomist will be responsible for providing technical advice to farmers on crop management, soil health, and irrigation solutions through remote consultation. Daily tasks include handling farmers' audio and video calls, performing remote diagnostics to enhance crop yield and plant health, and promoting sustainable farming practices. The Agronomist will also assist in training farmers and field personnel on advanced agronomic techniques through digital platforms and tele-advisory services.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or related field (required)
• Master's degree in Agriculture/Agronomy (preferred)

Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on field experience working with farmers
• Proven ability to diagnose and solve crop-related problems through remote consultation​

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong proficiency in Soil Science, Agriculture, and Plant Nutrition.
• Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills for effective tele-consultation with farmers​
• Strong analytical skills to assess crop problems remotely through visual/verbal information
• Ability to explain complex agricultural concepts in simple, farmer-friendly language
• Comfortable using digital platforms, video calling tools, and agricultural advisory applications​
• Familiarity with North Indian agricultural ecosystems and local farming challenges
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to develop practical solutions for farming issues
• Patience and empathy when handling farmer queries
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple farmer interactions efficiently
