Job Description

Job Title: Agronomist Role Summary: As an Agronomist, you will be responsible for studying and managing various aspects of crop production and soil/media management to optimize yields and ensure sustainability. You will conduct research, analyze data, and provide recommendations to improve agricultural output through the adoption of best and next practices. Key Responsibilities: 1. Conduct field surveys and analyze soil/media properties to assess fertility levels and suitability for cultivation. 2. Plan and implement cultivation programs to ensure optimum yield and quality as per the companys requirements. 3. Plan and oversee the application of fertilizers, pesticides, and other yield-enhancing measures. 4. Ensure effective and optimal use of resources such as water and energy, while promoting conservation practices. 5. Handle manpower efficiently by providing training to ensure maximum output per individuals. Requirements: Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 10 years of practical experience working with agricultural producers. Strong familiarity with sustainable agricultural practices and environmental considerations. Knowledge of precision agriculture technologies and tools. Technical Skills: Proven expertise in crop production techniques, soil/media science, and plant physiology. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation. Well-versed in MS Office. Experience with MIS, statutory compliance, and financial submissions. Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent oral communication skills in the local language Hindi Preferable. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the value chain. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Additional Requirements: Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to field sites as needed.
