Agronomist

About the Role:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Agronomist to join our team and support the optimization of crop production and sustainable farming practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting field trials, analyzing soil and crop data, advising on best agricultural practices, and contributing to the development of innovative farming solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct soil, plant, and water analysis to assess crop needs and optimize yields.

· Develop and implement crop management plans, including irrigation, fertilization, and pest control strategies.

· Monitor and analyze crop performance, identifying potential issues such as disease, pests, or nutrient deficiencies.

· Collaborate with farmers, agricultural technicians, and other stakeholders to implement agronomic solutions.

· Conduct research trials and contribute to product development efforts (e.g., seed varieties, fertilizers, biostimulants).

· Provide technical support and training to growers on sustainable and efficient agricultural practices.

· Stay up to date with advancements in agronomy, agriculture technology, and industry regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Science, (Master’s preferred).
• Proven experience in crop production, soil science, or agricultural consulting.
• Strong understanding of plant biology, soil chemistry, pest management, and crop nutrition.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams and clients.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make sound recommendations.
• Marathi Language is Mandatory

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with precision agriculture and sustainable farming practices.
• Knowledge of local/regional agricultural regulations and certifications.
• Familiarity with climate-smart agriculture and regenerative practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
