Agronomist

What You'll Do

• Work directly on farms to observe 

  weed species, crop stages, and field conditions

  .
• Assist the engineering team during 

  field tests

   and evaluate 

  the final impact of lasers on crops and weeds

  .
• Conduct 

  in-depth research on weed science

  : weed types, growth patterns, seasonal variations, and crop–weed interactions.
• Help build and maintain a 

  clean weed/crop knowledge base

   for our models and datasets.
• Manage and organise 

  agronomy-related data

   collected from farms (images, notes, weed counts, crop health metrics).
• Verify the 

  accuracy of annotated data

   by checking if labels match actual weeds, crops, and field situations.
• Provide biological insights to help improve 

  detection models, laser strategies, and field performance

  .
• Work with farmers to understand challenges, gather feedback, and support field deployment.

What You Need

• Background in 

  Agronomy, Weed Science, Crop Science, Plant Biology

  , or related fields.
• Ability and willingness to work 

  on actual farms

   in varying conditions (heat, rain, mud).
• Good understanding of 

  weed identification

  , crop growth, and field biology.
• Strong interest or experience in 

  weed science research

  .
• Comfortable documenting observations and managing large sets of field data.
• Strong attention to detail to verify annotations and ensure data accuracy.
• Ability to work with engineering teams and communicate findings clearly.

• Big plus:

   Prior experience specifically working in 

  weed science

   or weed-related field research.
