Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Manager to join our confectionery manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Quality Assurance and Quality Control, as well as the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and certification processes for FSSC 22000 and BRC. The Quality Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality and safety standards, and that we maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing the Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs, including testing, inspection, and documentation processes.
  • Establishing and maintaining the Food Safety Management System (FSMS), including developing and implementing policies and procedures, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring that all products meet the highest quality and safety standards, and that they comply with all relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Managing the certification processes for FSSC 22000 and BRC, including maintaining compliance with all requirements and ensuring that all necessary documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Leading and managing a team of quality assurance and quality control professionals, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
  • Coordinating with other departments, including production, and supply chain, to ensure that all quality and safety standards are met at each stage of the manufacturing process.
  • Conducting regular reviews and assessments of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems, FSMS, and certification processes to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Providing regular reports to senior management on the status of quality and safety programs, and making recommendations for improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in food science, chemistry, biology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a quality management role in the food processing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance and quality control principles and practices, as well as food safety regulations and certification requirements.
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining FSMS, FSSC 22000, and BRC certifications.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex quality and safety issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
