Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Quality Management System (QMS):

  • Establish, implement, maintain, and improve Quality Management Systems as per

    IATF 16949 / ISO 9001

    .
  • Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements (CSRs) and regulatory standards.
  • Plan and conduct internal audits; coordinate external audits (customer, certification, and statutory).

Process & Product Quality:

  • Monitor and control quality at incoming, in-process, and final inspection stages.
  • Approve control plans, PFMEA, process flow diagrams, and inspection standards.
  • Ensure effective implementation of SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP, and 8D problem-solving.

Customer & Supplier Quality:

  • Handle customer complaints, warranty issues, and ensure timely root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate PPAP submissions and customer approvals.
  • Manage supplier quality performance, audits, and corrective actions.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive reduction in PPM, rejection, rework, and customer complaints.
  • Lead Kaizen, Six Sigma, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze quality KPIs and present performance reports to management.

Team Leadership & Training:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the quality team (QA/QC engineers, inspectors).
  • Conduct quality awareness and training programs for shop floor and staff.
  • Promote a strong quality culture across all departments.

Preferred candidate profile

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 8 to12 years of experience in quality management within auto components manufacturing.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
  • Hands-on experience in injection molding and assembly processes preferred.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone, 8D).
  • Working knowledge of customer audits and OEM requirements.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving orientation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet customer and compliance deadlines.
